ill expect the usual replies from forum goers - use the search button and I already have

Basically my tyres are naffed on my discovery td5 so gonna get some grabber at2s wanting to get a slightly taller tyre like most everyone likes to feel higher up (mainly for more clearance)

As I can't afford to do a suspension lift with my current budget was thinking of a body lift, have seen some say use longer brake pipes, I don't plan on off-roading much at the moment but in future I can do this I believe

My question is has anyone done a body lift and moved the bumpers up to make it look standard ??

Or am I missing the point and they stay with the body

Also will I need anything else for a 2 inch (40mm) body lift (which ever they are)

Apprecaitive in advance for any knowledge

Not worth doing any lift, suspension or body, without longer brake pipes .. fit them before lifting anything I'd say. Think about it .. sus lift, you're moving the axle some amount away from the body. Body lift, you're moving the body some way away from the axle ... which means the brake pipes might pull with higher suspension movement, and don't kid yourself that on-road only won't do it, body roll on a tight, taken too quickly roundabout can do it.

There are ways to get round it a bit, like moving brackets and stuff, but as you're asking fairly elementary questions I'll refrain from adding more detail.

Its a fair effort but much better way to fit bigger tyres than suspension lift. You need to extend gear stick and will need spacers either made by local machine shop or as a kit. Keeps all your suspension nicely in geometry so doesnt affect prop angle either
