I have the Clarion heard unit and Harman Kardon system in my RR.

I'm missing my handsfree phone kit that I have in the Audi and would like to install something similar.

My issue is that the display on the Clarion has failed so I can't use the radio much. Having searched here, I know that I can get the unit overhauled for around £100. I guess I can get a handsfree kit wired in, and get an iPlod connection also wired in, but once I've paid for that lot, I'm way over the cost of a replacement head unit.

Now, I know I can get my granddads old transistor radio, put it in the cubby hole and duct tape the phone to the roof, but I can't find those big square batteries for the radio, so I'm ruling that idea out.

Apart from completely rewiring the car, is there an alternative that works? Or is the best solution to retro-fit the bluetooth and phone kit?

What's your budget? Either get someone to install a Parrot kit (they work really well - I've had a few) or buy a new head unit with Bluetooth and an iPod connection (and maybe even dab radio too).

Next.

well, I guess the Parrot/IPod kit is around £200, fixing the Clarion unit is £100, plus fitting it all. I guess £350.

I was also searching the forum for information on connecting my iPhone to my P38.

There are a couple of threads mentioning the iO Play, does anyone have an opinion on that?

I'd primarily like to be able to use my phone hands-free, if I can use it as an mp3 player as well, then that's a bonus.
