Blue Smoke

My 54 Freelander HSE, is billowing excess amounts of blue smoke, I mean a lot when accelarating away from a standstill after being left for 5 or more minutes, also first thing in the morning, have just opened the bonnet went to check the dipstick and oil came pumping out, help pleasera.

Sounds like your crankcase breather is blocked.

There's a lot of info there and if it is this problem you could damage your turbo seals - expensive repairs!!

Would advise not driving the car until it has been replaced...

And also remember to top up your engine oil

Thanks for all your replies, I rang my local landy dealer they suggsted it could be a blocked breather filter, have ordered one and it will be in on Monday will let you know how i get on, glad i found this forum, its very helpful.
