You know how it is... see one going cheap and you just have to bid!

So Defender number 3 is on its way to me!

Only this one is sold as an off roader.. so no ID, just looking for a way to either do it up and keep it for playing out.

Or getting it back on road either as a q plate or using chasiss with an ID. (Anyone with one for sale?)

Oh and shsssh Don't tell the wife!

:eek::eek::eek::doh: Didn't think about that......

I was thinking it was written off as it is baddly damaged! Don't suppose there is any way of knowing really.

Might have to reconsider that purchase!

Ask seller for chassis number off vin plate & old reg number. if he int got either forget it. if he's got chassis number DVLA will tell you if it's stolen and if it's been registered as an insurance writeoff. Post link to ebay ad and lets have a look at it.

LANDROVER OFF ROAD UNFINISHED PROJECT on eBay (end time 17-Mar-10 20:06:53 GMT)

Had this before off a guy with a Rover Cab! Was cagey as hell and not wanting to meet at the address on the log book! Didn't go through with it in the end. I am thinking it may not be worth the hassel with this one either. Think I may have to email the guy and ask for details.

RETHINK IT!

To buy that for £600 then to put an engine in it and get all the parts needed to make it road worthy you would be able to get a reasonably good condition one in working MOTed order.

It is going to need everything, it doesn't even have a dash, column switches, lights, the list goes on...

It has been butchered and I am sad to say; it looks like scrap to be honest and I would be fairly certain that it is some poor chaps stolen LR, or a collection of stolen parts.

I would start to enquire about getting some details for it, as soon as it looks dodgy say no, then call the police with the details - assuming you do believe it is dodgy.
