Hi folks,

I have recently changed my fuel and air filters on my 1995 P38. I decided as I had a new strong battery and a booster pack anyhow to bleed the system by cranking over the key and letting the car do the bleeding. this did work however I still seem to have air in the system and have trouble starting the car everytime. Is this common for air to get into the system and what is the simple mans guide to bleeding the fuel system? Any help would be awesome thanks guys.

If it's a diesel there is a procedure to follow to bleed system. Sitting there cranking the engine is not the way it's done. Undo banjo on fuel injector pump have someone sit in car and switch ignition on cycling glow plugs until all air is expelled from union. Tighten union. Car should start.
