Hi folks...I am going absolutely spare!!!

I have recently had a problem with the dreaded handbook sign displaying and had my Rangie hooked upto a testbook to discover the heater distribution motor had gone defective.

I have replaced the motors at a cost of over £200 and spent endless hours installing them myself (down to the bone!!)

I tested the motors once installed and then found to my horror that the air was still not being distributed correctly.

I am now on my second HEVAC Unit (Thinking this may be the problem) only to discover the left hand (Passenger) motor is not distributing the heat at all.

I have once again taken the passenger side dash out and operated the button on the HEVAC only to yet again find that the motor is doing absolutely nothing!!!

Has anyone got any ideas...PLEASE!!

I have cleared this problem...Finally!!

Turned out to be a faulty HEVAC unit...can`t always trust the Test book!

I read an article the other day regarding replacement blend motors etc when I noticed that another person had the same problem as me after installing the new blend motors (Handbook sign displayed).

It stated that if the handbook sign is displayed on re-fitting of the blend motors turn the ignition key on and off very quickly a few times without starting the engine of course (Took me 4 quick repetitions of 6 actually)
and to my amazement the problem was solved.

My blend motors are all in place and the dash is nearly complete and no handbook sign...Hoorah!

Shame I can`t re-align this blasted glove box though! Still, my Rangie now looks a bit more like something that left the factory at Solihull.

All the best!
