:confused: :confused: hiiiii anyone know where the bleed nipple is to bleed air out of cooling system ive found 1 on hose going to bulk head but carnt find other/s as my rad is freezing and botom hose below themo is cold had to change fan switch and emtied all coolant by mistake:eek: and my fans int still comin on 18 gs petrol thanks 2001:eek:
 
from Rave - looks like there are two bleeds - shown on dia.

cheers mate had me blonde head on:D 1 more question ie it best to bleed when car ticking over or cold
 
I always crack the bleeds with the engine cold and stopped and then run it at tickover till the air seems to have escaped then stop the engine and tighten the bleeds. Main thing is to avoid any chance of being scolded!

As above bleed at points 6 (screw) and 9 (8mm hex nut), there is a self bleed return to the coolant tank, top left of rad above hose 15

Fans won't come on until your temp gauge is well over halfway, can't remember exact temp 106 oC ?? think it cuts off again at 102 oC? need to check references

Check the fan system by disconnecting the brown sensor on the outlet stub of the block, fans should kick in straight away ;)

Is the coolant not warming up at all? the blue connector is for the temp gauge, brown for engine management
