Hi everyone, just got me a 95 disco 1, have worked on them in the past but never owned one, its an old ambition I have managed to justify,I do enjoy driving it,nice and chunky, first impression is it feels wider than it actually is, it feels wider than my old CF camper van, though I know it isn't.
My first intentions are to check the beast out thoroughly, first checks were satisfactory for the age of the disco, its going to need a rear load space floor section,1 rear axle bump stop, a couple of front arch plates welding in but nothing major, its got the 300dti engine with auto g,box, its had the EGR blanked off, a different injector pump fitted doing away with the need for MAF unit, theres not a drop of smoke from it,even when starting,WOW,it seems to have had the cruize control disconnected at the diaphragm, must check that out.
I am in the process of finding out where to get bits at the right price,so far I got a filter kit from Britpart, dead -cheap, need to find load space panel at decent price now. Looking forward to boring you all to death in the near future. Best wishes from Chesterfield.

Welcome from Bristol.
First bit of advice, be careful of Britparts cheapo items, They're not referred to on here as ****part for nothing. It's the old adage, you get what you pay for.
