no good for me, it's marketed as the product for serious car enthusiasts.

I is always ****ing about !

(linseed oil, about a fraction of the price, think I paid £1.50 for 500ml, works wonders once or twice a year)

frontosa:

That stuff looked great until I scrolled down and saw the quantity and the price - Bejasus! I can't justify spending that amount. :(

As for Optimus P's suggestion of linseed oil - - well I never heard of that one before - I might even have a go on the under bumber areas which suffer most with me.

The product I use now is from the Sonax range - not too expensive, but perhaps not yet widely on sale in the UK. I buy it in Germany at half the UK price - however I found some on eBay:

Sonax Plastic Restorer Black 100ml | eBay

They have some great restorer/cleaner for inside plastic and outside which doesn't wash off next week - matt and gloss. I use it maybe twice a year - makes a lovely job of the mirror backs which suffer in the summer especially.

I've also tried their engine spray type stuff - it stays super clean and shiny and makes it possible to rinse off road spray and greasiness with just a gentle hosing down. :)

Try WD-40...

I know it may sound a bit crazy, but its way better than any other trim restorer ive tried..

It lasts about 8-10 weeks, doesnt wash off in the rain or jet wash, and is only £1.50 for a giant tim from my local sunday market.... cheap as chips, and looks the business...

I used my heat gun to just melt the surface and it brought it up like new.
That were a year ago n it aint faded at all, go steady wi this specially round lights, fuel filler etc... I used a piece of card as a sheild

nice one newcyboots...was out with the wd40 freeing up a padlock and thought i'd try it on the beast whilst i was there, went on a piece of pi$$ and looks the dogs, has absolutely peed it down tonight so will see if its run tomoz lol
