still hoping to sort interior lights out they still only work manualy ie not when you open the doors or press the fob but i have found that the passenger door does not make the alarm give a single blow of the horn (to show it is not closed) when you lock the car and the door is open,if it is the micro chip how do i access it.thankyou all ott

That would make sense...

If the switch on the door thinks that it is 'not closed' then the computer will assume that the door is open and therefore quench the interior lights after it's default time out and go into battery saver mode.

It will remain in this mode until such time as it is reset by having all doors closed again and the engine run...

Dont bother hunting for the chip, get out the WD40 and a straw see if you can free the sticking switch. Once you've sorted this then the interior lights may well just start to work again..?
