Land Rover to reboot iconic Defender - IOL Motoring

with it being built abroad... possibly Brazil or China (which would be the new facility in cahoots with Chery)

So are they still gonna make the old (present) defender aswell as the new one?

Nah just the new un'

The factory is China is the one I would have my money on judging by what production rate they set it up for.

However... the build quality will be shocking. So perfectly set up for defender production!

Not giving anything away here then.

‘We are investigating the possibility of maintaining production of the current Defender at an overseas production facility for sale outside Europe, after we cease building in the UK.”

As I suspected, low-volume continued production of the old model for certain markets only. So if you really wanted one here, you could buy one abroad and import it.
