yup had to happen sometime. goverment/scientists have known about this for years. always funny when things start to happen , then all the doom and gloom starts to happen . suppose the bottom line of it all is , if it going to burn its going to release carbon , thats any carbon based feul.

Yeah but renewable fuels like bio take the carbon out of the air and store the energy before they release it as co2 and only release as much co2 when burnt as the amount they removed through photosynthesis - fossil fuels use long-term stored up carbon which eat up oxygen the planet has got used to having when they are burnt!

oh FFS! if it wasnt for the increase in fuel prices we wouldnt turn to this, if they just learned that we are gonna keep finding ways round things, so what is being said now is that the goverment have put the planet in further danger by throwing too much tax on fuel and making us turn to other sources???
someone has to click on soon.

Well FFS, the way my friggin' vehicle tax has gone up, I am almost at a point of abandon ship and move abroard.

Here we go,

Where I plan to move to the dieesl is about 0.55p a liter, and to tax the LC would be about £26.66 per year.

And no shortage of "off-road " venues
Here.

them thats supposed to know better are now taking into account all the cabon thats produced to get the bio feul in what ever form , so thats how its getting played down , and probably some one in the chains not gettin enough dosh out off it either.

and yet they don't seem to take that into account for mineral oil based fuels - blinkin fools that they are.

Like the costs of transportation, exploration, drilling, refining, not to mention all the carbon used in constructing the flippin great refinaries all over the place.

Then theres the wars. Wonder what the carbon footprint is for Iraq part 1 and 2.

and somehow planting some maize in america is the end of the world as we know it.

sall bollocks. todays buzz is "carbon footprint" and "carbon neutral". When was the last time you saw any experts on telly whinging about the hole in the ozone layer ? Thought not. Has it healed itself, or did everyone just get bored with being told not to use aerosols ?

everyone must have gotten their last quarters fuel bills and then thought that this so called global warming might not be such a bad thing if it means they dont have to have their CH on so high

no, it's healed itself coz people were whingeing on telly and everyone stopped using them and it got better!

It got better so the experts stopped whingeing about it!

Ok my thought on it

The Uk goverment and custom and excise tell you that red diesel is really bad for you diesel car engine as it will damage it . That is the biggest load of crap going as i have a mate who owns a company in the construction industry . His fiat Hitachi diggers have diesel engines far more advanced than any of our car engines and they have run on red for years.
I am thinking this is the same sort of thing , a goverment way of scaring you into stopping you from putting cheaper fuel in you car where you are not paying them their huge cut , simple as that

Oh and BTW if this oil price keeps going up it may get to 50p a ltr for diesel here in Aus

Red diesel is exactly the same as normal road fuel diesel they just put the red dye in it to show that no fuel duty has been paid on the red. NO one I have ever spoken has ever said it was bad for your engine.
