1990 90, was a 2.5P now a D, there is a big brown and red wire about 6 inches long coming out of the cover that covers the main loom through the bulkhead hole.

It terminated to a ring terminal and doesn't appear to be very live, however its a good big thick wire and if I could work out what it was, it may be useful for my 30amp relay for some lights, its even in the right place!

So, if anyone has any idea what it is/was, let me know.

Cheers!

Convention has it that a Brown/red wire is for Compression ignition starting aid to switch or Main battery feed to double pole ignition switch.

I think it has been for glows had that LR been a diesel from the factory. Standard loom I suppose.

I think I will just terminate it and tuck it out the way!
