seems fine to me buddy,
You have whatssapp?
PM me yer moby and I'll send you a vid of myne from cold start up tomorrow am.
Its the engine note, rise and fall from cold thats important.
After 5 mins tick over and same again after a short drive, all TD5's sound a tiny bit bit ropey on first start

Ignore the smoke, you have pumped fair bit down the exhaust pipe, just a bit of residue i expect.
It takes ages to clear after doing injectors, there is a vid on you tube the poor fella smoked out his town for first few miles, then he ended up in a ditch not related to the injector changes but just on his way back form test drive etc found it!

Anyway yours will sound and behave different if you ave fitted a decat through pipe and EGR delete, ideally you need to get your ECU fuel map tweeked to reflect the changes.

Just thought have you changed your Mushroom valve yet????
Might be stuck shut or even worse open!
(depression control valve) Part number LLN100140L

They like the budgie..............cheap cheap!

heres a run through of what it does not what you might think at first glance

PS you sooooo dont need a provent by the way!

totally over looked that and myne was stuck!

@KISSMYAURA you're a legend, I'll read through all that tonight! Haven't changed mushroom thing, asked at John craddocks if I should they said no  I'll order one mate.

Bloody turbo wastegate sticking again, whooshing like **** after a high speed run. I'll order a valve thingy as well cuz actuator arm is free as it can be.

Made it with the 'van though, pulled well so I'm really hoping it's not a serious issue. I've been pointed in the direction of RKAutomotive in Tamworth so I'll be taking it there soon as for a raft of diagnostics :)

Dont bother with the bluetooth its hit n miss, they are cheap and they work VERY well!

I bought anlaptop and the software and diag all in for £75

So still not sure then..LOL.

Cheers
lol,
no idea unless i plug it into a D2 !

OBD is just a euro standard, most top end diags have the software to interrogate the manufacture software etc.
Its that OEM software that contains the menus of what you can do, OBD is really just a code reporter with limited functionality such as reset service light, DPF regen E parking brake release etc.

Poor lads! I did laugh though :D

Plan is to get it checked over tomorrow at RK then just take it from there really. If there's no evidence of a bent rod (spoke to a few diesel specialists over the phone, they all seem to think it's likely :() r dodgy injector I'll give alive a ring and get ecu looked at

soz will get round to doin the vid promise, just work and vets at mo non stop !

could do in dark i spose its really the sound you want etc
will do form dead n cold then after 15 mins for ya

Vids sent sorry for delay matey!
its really for the audio i am a sheet camera person!

vid one is from cold
vid two is still just after start up,
note the slightly lumpy rev on rise
then the fall to pre idle,
then main idle a few seconds later.
Always start with foot on clutch, (less drag on starter)

forgot to do the warm vid!
suffice to say after about 4 mins the lumpy rise has gone and its smooth, the fall is the same.
Pulls like a train all good.
It is a commercial tractor with zero sound proofing all sat in a echo box after all!

Thanks mate much appreciated, always start with clutch disengaged ;)

sounds like you maybe getting a bit o diesel slippin through after engine stop.

Again ecu fuel map will sort, you really should consider the diag i was talking about.

It will graph all 5 injectors in real time all at once:

it even has flight mode, plug in and it will record a customised set of parameters of you choice up to 20 at a time.
while you drive about!

Ig get time at weekend i will send you a few screen shots of it hooked up to the def

Laptop running xp needed for that wasn't it? Ain't got 1 at the moment but bro is sourcing laptop for me. I'll look at it in future but need to have someone with me on this or I'll just send myself mad.

So the fuel map can get confused and shut down injector a bit late on engine stop?

I'll report back what's found or not found tomorrow, how much did alive charge you for sorting ecu out and was that with a remap as well?

i doubt it, your issues have been physical

i doubt it, your issues have been physical

You pair are like the voices in my head! I'll convince myself I've got a bent rod one minute, then the mech today said he highly doubts it after seeing the car run. Old boy at rkautomotive said likewise. Ive dogged that engine for 200miles now and it aint gone bang. So I convince myself it's something daft and non terminal then remember all the ****e and issues and physical ****ing bull**** I've had going on and end up back at **** me my engines bolloxed.

Diagnostics and physical checks - cylinder balance check and whatever the ****ing scope thing is cuz I don't bastard know tomorrow and take it from there.

If it needs an engine it's going on ****ing eBay I've had enough of it

Edit that rant is NOT directed at anyone I'm just ****ed off at my own ineptitude in understanding this **** and being told 'ahh try your glow plugs first' by one Indy to 'your rods ****ed' by another to 'oh no it's not now I've seen it, let's plug it in'

You guys can only do so much over the internet/phone I appreciate and love you all thank you
