I've done three on R380 'boxes and they are cheap and straightforward to do. The plate costs about £5 from an LR dealer.

You need to access the top of the gearbox from above, by removing the centre console to get at the base of the gear lever.

Take the coverplate of the base of the lever by undoing two philips head screws. You will now be able to see the existing plate - undo the 4 retaining screws and remove. Fit the new plate by the two front bolts before fitting the two springs with the remaining two bolts. Use threadlock on all 4 bolts.

Fitting the first spring is easy, fitting the second is a bit more challenging but do-able.
 
Changed The Bias Springs and Plate Today, Tongue had broken off plate all went really well.
Took me Just under 2 hours.
