Best time to sell a Defender?

18:30 on a Sunday evening on ebay (not kidding!)

or if you were looking for snow tax, about a month or two ago.

sell it to my Nigerian friend he will send you a cheque for £4000 more than you want and his 'shipping agent' will take the car and the change.............

The day after payday. Seriously though what a daft question. How will you ever know whether you might have got a fiver more if you'd hung on another day or two?

keep an eye on ebay and see what there fetching,you'd have probably been better selling a month or 2 ago,normally prices drop as summer gets nearer but then creep up again as winter approaches

Double half its length.

According to eBay, auctions ending on sundays and thursdays fetch higher prices. I know that sounds like a **** take but it's not.
Best time to sell a Defender was a couple of months ago.

when i had my fender on ebay 2 months ago the bidding was upto £6100 and then fleabay pulled it with 1 day left cos i said "make me an offer"..tw@ts.

i then relisted straight away with a 1 day listing and emailed all the previous bidders it sold for £5350..

so i dont think you can judge how/when

just make sure you dont end the auction when everyones at work as you will miss out on bids

Thinking about buying a cheap'un in the summer...get the bits from work to sort it then sell just before it snows.............prob be 80F in the winter when i try and sell....
