I got my new to me TD4 2006 Freelander yesterday delivered from a trader who buys from Trade and sells on.The vehicle externally looks ok but internally was a tip and had not been looked after and after contacting the seller afterwards He moved it straight out doing oil and filter, no history of any value but fairly clean mot tests with work done etc.Not Too disappointed and I intend making it good everything works on it so far and the only niggle is clutch appears bit stiff if anyone knows why please share I wondered about release mechanism.Where is the best online parts place to go for service items ? thanks Alan.

Make sure that it has 4 identical tyres fitted, with least worn on the rear, if its still a 4WD. If the propshafts are still fitted, then do the One Wheel Up Test. (Search One Wheel Up Test on here).

It's not uncommon to find the propshafts and VCU missing, which means you'll have a 2WD and tyres become unimportant.
