Best Plugs for Thor on LPG

Well, as promised a couple of pictures of my install. This is before I've been and replaced the injectors from the cheap Valtek's to the new Hana's. Also you can see my heater pipes are T'd off. I did the water pump on it a little while ago and now I'm getting pressure in the top hose from air in the system, so I've just ordered a bunch of fittings to put the vap inline and hopefully run the pipes (somehow!) around the back of the manifold to put them lower in the system than the top hose/coolant tank.

Other than that, the install looks really well done (and ran a treat until the Zavoli injectors started failing - the wiring where it went into the metal injector housing was breaking up on a couple of them) Looking forward to having it running on gas again.. managed to break the reducer temp sensor (it was looking a bit brittle) so need to swap that before I can test out the new injectors!

It gets pretty tight in behind the inlet manifold with all the wiring and gas pipes in there, but keeps it all pretty neat - and is about the only place the injectors fit on a Thor model with the lower manifold drilled, as the hoses won't fit out between the upper manifold and the rocker cover.

Thanks Marty its good to see where others have placed things in the engine bay I'm going to be mounting my vapouriser on the left side so I can connect it in series with the heater pipes to avoid airlocks n such likes, it looks like it was fitted this way to the previous car the kit came from
 
No problem - sometimes a picture or 2 helps alright!

I think if I were doing the install from scratch, I would probably look to put the vapouriser on the other side aswell, as the heater pipework would then be shorter. It's the only thing I am not a fan of on my install is the hoses going over the top of everything. I can see why they put it on the RH side where they did - as the gas line from the tank is a nice easy run down the sill, and there is more space there for it (no ABS pump, steering shaft etc).

Still, since I have replaced the RR heater core with the Audi unit, I ran heater hose all the way through the firewall, so have a bit more flex in the lines to be able to re-plumb it in series. I've ordered a couple of straight reducers, and elbows just in case!

I'll try and post a couple more pics once I've got it finished off, with the new injectors in place too.

I will get some pics of mine on next week, that looks very tidy is worth the extra effort!

I had mine inspected by a different approved prinns installer on Friday and glad I did!

Turns out the engine speed sensor was on the wrong setting. It's only been a couple days but is running superbly on Gas now, purring like it should and actually feels slightly sharper than petrol in sports mode. Hats of to Prinns their support has be commendable. Still looking to re-locate the injectors but time will tell as to what kind of mpg I'm getting but the power is back for the first time since the install.
I think I'm looking at buying another manifold and new injectors to fit them all in and then just do a straight swap over.

I am also planning on moving the filter, as been pointed out that it's just above the exhaust heat shield... which is where the original one was, but I've upgraded it to a higher flow canister filter, so think I'll move it and try and fit up next to the MAP sensor. Also as a note, it hasn't actually had LPG in the front end yet, as I'm waiting to get the replacement sensor and water connectors to re plumb the vapouriser. Then once that's all done, I'll tweak the map to reflect the new injectors and get it running on gas. calibrate it, and get it (hopefully) running sweetly again!
 
Sorry for the delay in getting back with some new install pictures... Been away for work again, and only now had some time to play catch-up!

I moved the filter up a bit higher away from the exhaust (it probably would have been fine as when I looked at is again it was well away - but when I re-ran the coolant lines, it helped having it higher and gave better routing for the gas lines to the injectors.

Replaced coolant lines - 19mm heater hose. The return from the heater core (I've fitted an Audi heater core in the past, and instead of putting a load of joins in the cabin ran heater hose through the firewall) is 16mm, so a 16-19mm reducer fitting gets it neatly hooked back up to the P38 hosework. You can just see under the injectors the 16mm return line from the vapouriser which now runs behind the upper manifold. I ran 19mm hose around the back of the engine and then used another 19mm-16mm reducer to feed into the vapouriser. I didn't want any water joins right in behind the engine where I wouldn't visually see them to inspect for leaks etc, so hence the longer 19mm hose right around.

The 16mm return line from the vapouriser. I used an aluminium elbow into the line through to the heater core feed. I bought, and wanted to use an inline connector, however the bend in the actual hose work would have kinked it too much, so decided to go with the elbow instead, partly for neatness. It doesn't seem to impede the flow too much, as both feed/return lines get nice and hot when running.

I tweaked the map on the ECU to lean it back off a bit as I had to really richen it something silly for the Valtek injectors to have a hope of running it nicely, and even then they weren't up to the task on the motorway. first impression with the new Hana injectors - amazing! feels like it has it's power back on LPG again. I need to put it on the laptop and calibrate it more precisely now - but think that will be my job for when I'm next at the workshop, so I don't totally annoy the neighbours :)

If anyone has any other questions or wants more info on any part of it, then I'm happy to help wherever possible.

I've got fresh problems again now with my Prinns system. I called the garage that did the install yesterday and they basically told me to do one and take it somewhere else. I have been calling the chap at prinns over the last 2 weeks but not been able to get an answer.
Seems I am alone with this now, which is probably for the best considering the incompetence my vehicle has suffered at the hands of these so called "approved installers", who will be named and shamed in due course.

Does anyone know where I can get a legit copy of the prinns VSI 2.0 software?
