Hi guys,
Recently, my husband backed my 02 Range Rover L322 into a fence post and cracked the rear bumper, I’ve purchased a second hand front and back set, but it’s in a totally different colour to my car, I’ve tried contacting 2 sellers on eBay and BSB in Rochester which was recommended to me, but none of them have replied back, BSB’s answer machine hung up on me, which gets me thinking no one is opened for business, but there must be someone working. Halfords don’t sell the colour I need and when I searched ‘Zambezi Silver’ into the search bar, I get different silvers for different makes of cars and silver alloy or metal paint, which will definitely not match the car. Can anyone help. I don’t want to put an internet order in with someone who may not be trading or has bad service.

I think Halfords will mix paint to suit your needs, they don't hold all colours on the shelf. Have also used Jawel paints who were very good.

I got mine at a Dingbro branch, took fuel flap in to have it optically scanned, and I believe the best match wasn't even LR...
Silvers need to pretty spot on although plastic bumpers give you a smidgeon of wiggle room because they always look a half shade off due to being plastic.

Oh and it's all water based metallics afaik, which is fine in warm weather but very tiresome in winter if doing diy.

Wait until your local motor factors (one that does paint) re-open & take the car to them to compare their colour swatches against the car to see which shade of Zambesi silver is closest to your car.
The codes for Zambesi silver are 737 and MVC. Same colour, different codes it's a Rover/Land Rover thing.
In the paint system I use i have formulations for 5 shades so your chances of getting close ordering on line are remote.
It's a metallic (some shades also contain xirallic elements) so you will need a base coat (the colour coat) and a clear coat (lacquer) to go over the top.
Silvers can be an utter PITA.
