Decided to sling the V8 out and put an Isuzu 2.8TD in the 110.
Anyone used Steve Parker at Rochdale for a kit ?

Seems to be quite cheap. :)

would have said in the scrap bin along with the slitty engine
Needs must I'm afraid, the V8 is going very well at the moment and the disco transfer box makes it ten times better but the tuned motor sups the go go juice at an alarming rate reving to 7 grand easy and it's hard to keep it down as just tickling the throttle chucks you back in the seat.
Too tempting to blow Saxos away at the lights and a rolling racing start in second soon sees 55 on the speedo .
Cant afford to run it is the bottom line, even on gas I'm only getting 90 miles from me gas tank and that's goin steady.

Sooo,
The very economical and reliable diesel engine sitting on a trolley in my garage is going in so I can get 35 mpg round town and 45 on a steady run, got to make sense that has but I still dont want to part with the single figure mpg V8.

aannnnndddd soo,
The V8 will be sold, it's an almost new engine, block and pistons out the box with reconditioned 4.6 heads ( 10.1 cr )and branched manifolds, I must be bloody mad.

In the bin Keep it all LR Fit a 200Tdi
Would do if I was able to work and had the money, just got the zoo zoo standing idle in the garage, do I sell it and get a 200tdi do ya think, would that be viable? or go for the slitty and dont tell me friends:D

Well they are well cheap to buy a 200tdi apparantly you can get a goodun for like 200quids on ebay. Myself Ive not seen any except tired examples but you can apparently.

What's better then, 200 tdi or 2.8td isuzu ?

I ran the isuzu engine for over two years so I know what I'm getting. It returned 30 ish mpg round town and 40 to 45 on a run. That was without even trying and it would pull anything on a trailer when asked.
So how does the 200tdi match up to that. ?

i stuck a 2.8td suzi in a 110,n its a **** hot engine.but i would say a 200 has mor grunt at lower revs, but as soon as the suzi spun its sen up it'll **** all ova a 200.ya trouble is all the cost yul av doin the conversion.

Seems daft to sell the zoo zoo and the V8 though
