Two vehicles being worked on , one will need the head and block faces cleaning and both will need all the air hoses cleaned out . I have always used paraffin for all of this . Anyone got any other suggestions ? Petrol ? Diesel ? The paraffin is more expensive than fuel these days so I am open to suggestions !

Thanks Bear !

Whilst out waiting for the headgasket to go on Kart with the "check engine" light flashing on at times and the engine missing a beat here and there , I got to the fuel stop and got a fivers worth of petrol and drizzle . Since there is such a huge buildup on the S reg's hoses I have used diesel to soften it and then petrol to wash them clean .

Whilst this is cushty for the hoses and 'cooler , I dont know how suitable it would be for cleaning the block face when I do Karts headgasket job .

Any more ?

PS - I have to try to squeeze the last out of Karts engine to get up the road and get a headgasket yet ! Will mailorder one to be safe but cant be without transport as caring for disabled ex wife , disabled elderly parents 20 miles away and disabled pigs and sheep . As well . Too . Also , As it were .....
