Dear Mr Lubeman,
please do return to the site, you will find it informative and amusing. Your recent exchanges have been most amusing and i fear that you have rather exposed yourself to the robust Joshing that goes on.
As you have set yourself as an aunt Sally why not re-register a different name and quietly pop back in.
I fear that your recent fit of pique will make other users wait for your postings in order just to provoke you.
And the less vindictive will be watching for more fun to start.
Your call.

Yes Ciderman,,,of course you are right,,but I wont shy away from my misguided rantings,,its my fault for not sussing out whats about,,so,,just have to take it on the chin

Spoken like a champ. Welcome to one of the friendliest and most helpful forums I've ever found. I almost never join forums of any sort but this is the 2nd one I've been frequenting since I started using the interweb in 1992. The other one is for kayak fishing.

As I said above, I joined only in September of this year and already the advice and help I have recieved has helped me out immensely. Remember though, that there are geeks of one sort or other in every walk of life, and if you start talking about finer details like particulate filters and the fundamental properties of various engine oils, there will always be those who will take the proverbial. Not your fault, you have spent a lifetime working in this particular industry and have no doubt aquired a considerable amount of knowledge on the subject, but most folks find their work boring and dull. There will also be some who will enjoy the discussion and the finer technical points of any subject if that is what they share an interest in. They rest of us will just take the pith as we don't apreciate it for what it is, until you get onto our specific topic then we will become just as geeky as the next man. Whether it be solids, liquids, gases or imaginations etc.

Take care and enjoy the banter.

Ron.
