Bernzomatic oxygen

As the mot on my car is approaching fast I need some Bernzomatic oxygen
cylinders (the disposable ones) for use in my small Oxy-propane set as it
heats up stuck nuts and bolts without setting fire to the surrounding paint
work.

I usually get the cylinders at the local B&Q but they have stopped stocking
them, so if any body has seen then in the north east of England please let
me know.

Bernzomatic appear to be distributed in the UK by Irwin Industrial
(Record, Marples etc) who are now part of US firm Newell Rubbermaid the
parent of Bernzomatic in the USA.

There is a Bernozomatic section but, ominously, no mention of oxygen
cylinders. I imagine Irwin will be the people to let you know whether or
not that particular product has been dropped from their UK offerings.

Irwin don't list the Bernzomatic cylinders, only the the smaller mixed
fuel ones (Camping/blowtorch cylinders) The PDF brochure on Irwin's
site mentions the Butane and MAPP cylinders but no mention of O2.

I hope they havn't stopped them in the UK, I have two Bernzomatic dual
cylinder kits and they're very usefull for brazing & small welding
repairs at the roadside. B&Q used to do them, and I see the Propane
cylinders in local Halfords, but I can't remember if they had the MAPP
or O2 ones.

That said, the O2 cylinders don't last long at all, especially if you
need to cut something. I may convert my kits to take a larger BOC
portapak O2 cylinder.

I found two at the local halfords, but if they stop stocking them (assistant
didn't know when the new stock would arrive) then I may have to go the
portapak route.
