Following on from me thread where i smashed my 90 into a wall in a ford. ive fitted a new manual steering box, checked trackrod and ends, fitted a new set of wheels and sorted the tracking. it all looked good until i noticed that the drivers side wheel sticks out approx 30mm from the arches whilst the pasenger side is flush.

so what i hear you say. but the springs look vertical on the passenger side whilst the driver side leans a little.

now for those who dont know i smacked a wall which stopped me dead from about 15-20mph. the only thing which contacted was the front passenger wheel (which exploded) i racked me brain trying to work it out. only thing i can think of really is ive bent/twisted the radius arms at the front.

is this easy to do? does it happen often? what else may i have fecked? like i said steering is now sorted. havent driven it yet, as its still on the stands but the wheels look straight and measure up (tracked) about right. just concered about the possible lean toward the drivers side. :(

might also explain tight drivers door and slack passenger door :( twisted bulkhead? arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! :(

who knows... i dont.

Have yer bent the radius arm brackets on the axle or is the bush out of kilter, Kinnellers I cant see the arm bending that easy, cant see that the chassis would twist at that speed either. Did any of the body work hit the wall cos it wouldn't take much to shove the wings over a bit.

dont think the bracket is out, that kinda looked ok to me. no bodywork contact at all, not even a scratch. the wheels stick out so much it was the only thing to connect. didnt think the arms would bent easily. will measure them tomorrow eve to check. any other suggestions ya'll?

cheers G man and Grunt
