Hi. I`m a beginner on Landy`s and would appreciate a bit of advice.I bought a new track rod for my 1988 Land Rover 90. I had the tracking done at a local Nationwide centre. A month later I have spun off the road and hit a tree. On the track rod end (the new track rod - drivers side) the nut holding it on has stripped the thread on the bolt end and the whole track rod has come off at that point. I have managed to get the landy home by wiring the track rod end up, but would like to know now why did the track rod become disconnected and was it me that fitted it wrong or have I got a case against Nationwide for not doing a proper job of adjusting it when they were re-tracking?

Would appreciate any advice. [email protected]

Thanks.

Ben
