Hello all,

I'm posting on behalf of my dad to say that our much loved Land Rover 90 was stolen from our driveway overnight on the 22nd of July 2013.
This wasn't just a car to us (as I'm sure you all feel about yours!) but had been given to us by my fathers brother who sadly passed away unexpectedly.
We're still in shock at how someone could be so heartless and intrusive and there's nothing that you can do about it... the driveway looks so empty now :(
We don't hold out much hope of getting it back, but I can't just sit around and let something so precious to us be taken without at least trying.

Anyway, the details of Landy (as of when stolen) are as follows:

Hard top 1993 Land Rover 90 200 TDI in ARLES BLUE. 67,000 miles. Tow bar. Cyril Groombridge spare wheel cover. 3 Grabber tyres, 1 Michelin. New galvanized bumper.

Engine No. 11L31134A
Chassis No. SALLDVAF7KA926847
Reg - K343 MUF

Stolen overnight from drive in Cross in Hand, East Sussex on 22nd of July 2013.

If anyone has any information, please contact SUSSEX POLICE or me directly.

Thank you for reading :)

Ouch, second one in the past hour!

Sorry to hear this,

Did it have any extra security on it?

No, no extra security other than the steering lock.

They moved my (Ford KA) car to get to it by smashing the window and cutting the brakes... they obviously knew what they wanted and what they were doing.

Forgive me - why did they cut the brakes on the KA if they had gained access?

Was that a disklock ?

Thats a good idea for the future, if everyone noted their chassis and engine numbers and posted them too

Trackers should be fitted as a matter of course to Landies, especially those with sentimental attachment or labours of love.
I hate reading about people's pride and joy being stolen. :(
