very feint beep coming from the instrument cluster as far as I can make out- dont know why exactly anyone come across this before? No messages etc just a feint beep every 5-6 seconds.

I did replace the light bulb on the ignition barel a few days ago but didnt notice a beep noise until last night and today..?????

I have posted this elsewhere on the forum....

No indicators flash on unlock or lock, no interior lights coming on either.
Went out to just now and I can still hear a feint beep every few seconds from the dashboard. If I hold down the middle button on the dome light console for 3 seconds i can toggle between inter lights on or off.
when I select, off ,the beeping stops. I pressed the middle button again and still no lights???? really confused.

how do I fix this?

no messages, just a feint beep every 3-5 seconds when the interior lights are set to ON via the light dome. no indicator flash on lock or unlock or any interior light dimming on of off on lock of unlock. The puddle light do work as normal. Actually the Ignition light is also not working- I just put in a newbulb yesterday!

Cant beleive just by changing an interior bulb it has thrown a wobbly.

i may suggest something that u will not like, try disconnecting ur bat than connect it again.
P.S:do that if u have the radio code,if u have ur keys in ur pocket not in ignition,if u r ready to set the sunroof and windows, plus that E.K.A code in case the immobilizer decides to play with u.
well that is my advice, surely someone will jump in to give onother solution

It illuminates a green ring of light so you can see where to stick the key in. Just unscrew about 6 six screws from underneath and the steering column surrounds comes apart. You will have to pull out and up on the steering wheel to the max setting. Dont need to take off lower panel or instrument binacle.

Minor hiccups like that described are often "cured" by momentarily disconnecting -ve terminal on battery, however, whilst perhaps clearing the initial fault, be prepared for more; windows, sunroof, radio all need to be re-set, remote fobs maybe, maybe not, do make sure all keys/fobs are available, eronious fault codes might also appear for first few miles on re-starting........but should clear themselves......I've had massive probs with mine deciding to partially set alarm lighting all indicators all night long.....apparently caused by sticking drivers door handle............brilliant when working, damn awful when ****y......and the Mrs wonders why I refer to it in the female gender "her" or "she" pmsl! good luck!!

Indicator on for ages means it going to go out of sync, I noticed this on mine. Soon after I had to buy a syncmate which sorted my problem.
I guess I have to disconnect my battery tomorrow and see if that fixes it.

Disconnected battery and reconnected after a few mins, interior lights and ignition barrel light all working as should be, still when locking and unlocking the indicators dont flash anymore... anyone know how to fix this or is it set on the BECM?

Feck that alarm is loud!

I should add that all the locking and unlocking is via the remote.

The indicators flash only if the alarm is active.

If the alarms has been deactivated, like it has in many Range Rovers now due to alarm problems, then you wont get any flashing on lock or unlock.
The alarm can be turned on with diagnostics.

When I disconnected the battery today the alarm sounded. Does this still mean its not active? The indicators used to work until yesterday when locking or unlocking...

The back up or secondary alarm will sound if you disconnect the battery more than 17 seconds after switching off the ignition. The 'normal' alarm is independent of this. Strange thing with mine is that the indicators stopped flashing on set and unset not long after I bought it. This can be re-enabled with Testbook. You have the option of sidelight, indicators or no flash on setting the alarm.

But this setting of flashing indicators for locking and unlocking can just vanish by changing an interior bulb?
Amazing.

By the way the beeping has stopped since I disconnected and reconnected the battery, but now I still don't know why the indicators have stopped flashing on lock and unlock....
I'm just wondering if I get a eka lockout then don't I need to refer to the flashes to know when to input my key sequence?

I had a similar problem with no interior, key barrel, or puddle lights. Was going to disconnect the battery and reconnect but that seemed a bit of a ball ache. Found that if you push and hold the interior light button on the front over head cluster you get a bleep and a message saying int lights on or off. Did mine all has been fine for the past 6 months so far, touch wood.

I did try this but the only thing that this did was when I selected interior lights off the beeping seemed to stop.
Actualy reconnecting the battery fix the interior lights problem but has not fixed my indicator lights flashing when locking or unlocking.

The indicator light flash is I'm sure (from memory) an optional setting in the BECM, it will need re-setting with T4 or Faultmate. Disconnecting and re-connecting the battery has caused has a memory corruption.

The flashing indicators stopped happening when I removed the interior light bulbs from the ignition and the window switch pack. Only after replacing the bulbs I noticed that the interior lights and indicators werent flashing on lock and unlock. Only when i read disconnecting and reconnecting the battery could fix this problem which it did partial- the inerior lights work as they should even on lock and unlock, but no flashing indicators as it originally did.:confused::confused:
