Been here before.....

Hi All , Last time I was here was 6th Sept 2009 , the time has now come to buy another Landy so what better place to come back to than Landyzone I had loads of help before and hope that the help will still be here when needed .
Last time I had a RR p38 or the wife did to be fair and we loved it , this time round we are looking at either another P38 DSE or a Discovery II , the one that was produced between 1998 and 2004 I think we are looking at maybe buying something around the 2002 mark .
So can anyone give me some pro and cons on the disco I kind of remember the problems with the P38 but a reminder would be good if possible , also if anyone out there lives in Bedfordshire , Herts , Bucks , and would like to have a chat about what to look out for and let me look over either a P38 DSE or a Disco TDi it would be much appreciated I am looking to buy something at the end of May , abit of home work will hopefully help make the decision easier .

the discos of that period are pretty cheap to get hold of but there are verry few and far between to find one with a solid boot floor sills front and rear wheelarches and floorpans

if your going looking at any discos it dont matter how shiny and clean they are just make damn sure you inspect these areas or take someone who knows what theyre looking at with you

What doesn't go wrong with the p38 would be a better question at least your looking at the diesel not the petrol please 1999 onwards would be the better option !

go for the disco 2 TD5 engine... just check the rear chassis and the air bags on the rear suspension
