hello all , i wondered if one of the resident guru`s could advise me here .
i currently own 2 p38`s both hse 4.6 models 1 is a "P" reg which im about to break and the other being an "R" reg model which is in daily use .
my problem is the "R" reg one has 2 remotes both of which have been butchered and generally in very poor condition so what i would like to do is swap over the ignition barrel and door lock along with the becm from the "P" reg car ( this is a recent new unit and both keys are in perfect condition ) .
i have also just bought a nanocom evo from bbs which is a fantastic piece of kit .
i understand it wont be a plug and play type job i just need to know what i will need to do once everything is switch over or , is it a total non starter :(.
the battered 2 fobs i have at the moment are still working and 1 is numbered no3 the other ive no idea as the label has long since gone .
any constructive comments will be appreciated :).

anything mechanical doesn`t bother me after 40+ yrs on the spanners and 20 or so yrs owning range rovers but , the electrics and ecu side of thing on these motors can be a head scratcher at times :frown: i didn`t want to just wade in and end up with 2 non runners and a skip load of grief :D .
ive just pm`d rick the pick for his veiws on my plan .
i was thinking / hoping that with both vehicles being same engine / spec it might be relatively straight forward .
