Couple of faults with my new (to me) Freelander 1. Parking sensors and the headunit has been replaced.
Looking to return everything to stock.

Seem to be a few head units on ebay, but a large number of them state they do not have the security code.

Aware with some vehicles (my old Xantia for example) there is a database available to provide code once serial number had been input.

Does this exist for Freelanders, or is there another way to get the codes.

Thanks again

Dave

LR dealers can help with this as they can provide the code. Some may charge a nominal fee.

You may need to know the details of the vehicle that the head unit came from originally though. Others on here may be able to confirm, or correct me.

Are there any head units that will work with the Multi CD player already installed?

Probably not, but the multi-changer normally packs up anyway.
Most modern CD head units are able to play data CDs which eliminates the need for the multi-changer completely. I use CDs that have around 5 albums saved as WMAs. This is convenient and completely eliminates the need for a multiple CDs in the car. Most modern HUs also take a USB drive, which gives space of huge numbers of albums.
