An LD010 is a very simple and cheap lead with just 5 or 6 bare ended wires coming from a single connector that plugs directly into our vehicle servers / VCI 1 and is designed specifically to provide a solution to connect our systems harware directly to a Microcontroller, rather than go via the diagnostic socket.
It is typically used by software such as our advanced SM035 module that provides direct access to the P38 BeCM microcontroller memory contents, via the microcontroller manufacturers own back doors, allowing unlocking and access / modification of data otherwise not possible via a regular OBDII socket diagnostic connection.
Details of how to physically connect this are not installed with our systems software / help unless your system has the requisite software module already licenced.
SM035 is not a software module that anyone would require for day to day diagnostics, but for those wishing to have absolute mastery over it, it is a very powerfull tool that only we provide.
For MSV-2 the LD010 was modified into the LD034 with its own built in 5 Volt regulator due to extra protection on the 5 Volt supply of its predecessors lowering the 5 V supply voltage.
Hope this Clarifies.
