hello I have a 96 p reg p38 range rover and for months now ive been trying to get a battery that actually fits in the space and connects now that sounds quiet easy but no my live terminal has only a short cable so firstly tried my local car parts shop they assured me battery was correct but no nothing reaches the terminals one person told me that the battery goes in back to front so live terminal is on left but no that wont work ive now got battery from Halfords who assured me that is right but ive just tried to fit it and no still not right they asked me to described engine bay as im looking in live terminal is nearest to engine negative is near to wing I cant seem to find a battery to fit does anyone else have this problem as I want to put rangie back on road any help much appricated

Fitting the correct battery would help rather than buggering about with leads. Obviously the ones he has been sold are the wrong terminal layout. It's not bloody rocket science.
