just 1 clamp bolt, should be easy unless the thread strips from the plastic carrier in which case drill the head off then use a hook bolt to refit.

just querying - cos at Halfrauds its a DNAttempt - and speaking to a couple of guys that have tried - apparently the bolt head just revolves and if yu feel underneath, the "nut???" revolves in the other direction:confused:.

I hadnt seen anything on here about it so thought I wud ask. - So it shud be ok then? Maybe I will try next time then

Hmmm should be easy BUT

If it's fairly easy to strip the thread off the carrier. Would it not be a good idea to wd40 it before attempting to undo it ??

hmmmmm - maybe i wont then. Tiz one thing doing it for yoself - tiz another thing doing it for a customer. (for a fiver)

It's your call obviously, but I'd be inclined to tell your customer what the possible problem is, what the outcome maybe and what you'd have to do to rectify the problem and prevent future problems.

Your providing your customer with an informed choice, and a solution that would be advantagious to them.

Much better than sorry mate I daren't touch it, try Halfords ;)

common fault mine did it but managed to prize the stoopid plastic bit away from battery. . . . . .will drill it out in warmer weffer and modify :)

could try slipping something behind the bolt head to cause a bit of back pressure enough to undo the bolt. chances are though, nut will just fall off the other side.

Who pulled your chain?
Simple Q.
Just need a knowledgeable answer. So that leaves you out then.

Local stealer charges £300 to change a gaylander battery because a "special tool is required to hold bottom clamp nut".
Halfrauds won't touch them for same reason!!!

Trying to find out what this thing is.

If you don't know what yo talking about, I suggest you shut up and learn.

Just looked like a wind up question.
I'll check the book of beans later , but if they're all the same as mine, you undo the clamps at the terminals (easy enough),and there's a clamp on the bottom of the battery shelf .Its a 10mm nut and can be got at with a 9" extension ,just loosen and pull it forward.

Sorry Daft , It really looks like a daft question.
