L322 Battery recommendations

Hi all,

I know this has been discussed many times but the battery on the L322 was dead this morning.
The search function doesn't seem to be working so I'll have to ask again.
AA are on their way to jump start it but I'm going to need a new battery so I'm looking for suggestions.

The biggest you can fit, 1000CCA. Battery Megastore do good deals and I can recommend Hankook.

I recommend the Bosch S5 015

5 year warranty - That's the biggest you can physically fit into the L322, it is a tight fit but does go.

I looked on battery megastore but it doesn't recognise my reg number so I'd be guessing the part number

Eurocarparts comes up with the s5 020 for mine

The 020 quotes 850cca on eurocarparts so if I can fit the 015 in and it's 1000 cca I'd rather go with that.

Just put my reg in to euros (2002 TD6). It has come up with Bosch S5 020....110Ah & 920 CCA

Same as my battery, the 015.
But the price....... Without discount codes £364.99!!!

Yes, I saw that one, although they do have 50% off at the moment.
I was looking at the duracell one but that's 850 cca.
I'll have another dig around later on the laptop, battery megastore site is carp on the phone!

Ordered the Bosch one from tayna.
10.30am delivery and 5% discount, came to 140 quid.

biggest you can fit. Tayna batteries give you dimensional selection on batteries and that's what i did and got the biggest that would fit my rig which is a defender 90.
I measured the max size that would fit, took 10 mm off just in case, and i think i ended up with 020 or 019 battery which is a big lump of a thing.

Yeah, I'm not looking forwards to hefting it in, especially as it's not very accessible on the L322!

I get mine from https://www.lincon.co.uk/ £120 with the VAT & P&P all in I have a P38 though and the battery is a full fat 640 SHD

Except they didn't have any in stock and if you add in 25 quid for pře 10.30am delivery it worked out more expensive.

I believe you can put the bonnet in to service position which will give you more room to fit battery.

I had heard about that on the P38's but didn't know if it was possible on the L322. I'll have a search!
