Heater fan resister
Blue tooth module full of water
Boot full of water shorting out turtle for the was
Cd changer stuck on

thanks for the reply and input mate , unplugged heater fan resistor no change, not fitted with blue tooth, no water in boot and i have disconnected the change, anymore thoughts on what i could check

how many amp is the drain? your refering to volts in your post. if you check the amp drain the figure will give you a rough idea for what to look for or what is draing your battery.

when i put my amp meter between my battery earth and earth lead the meter reads 12.45 and when i touch the earth lead back on there is a bit off a spark, how do i read the amp drop , sorry to sound so thick lol

i tried it with the little black plug disconnected and it was just the same or do you mean take the live i.e big red wire off

Once the engine is cold put your hand on the alternator...if its warm there's your fault....if it's as cold as the rest of the engine keep looking!

Yep, sounds like the rectifier diodes in the alternator have gone short circuit. Often happens when welding has been done without disconnecting the battery.

Some alternators can be repaired with a new rectifier kit, but not sure if your's is one of them.

Yes the big red wire :)
just tried that and no differance, i have noticed that when sat in the jeep and i take key out there is some noise coming out off the heater...is this normal, it seems to be coming from behind the centre buttons, i disconnected the hedge hog and it made no differance
