Battery Flattens No Start.

I have just purchased my first RR a2007 3.6 TDV8. After some snow and ice last week I parked my cdar on the drive and did not use it for a couple of days. When I tried to start it on the third morning all I gotr was a feeble attempt to turn the engine over and a lot of ticking from under the dash. The key also would not turn to the start position for a number of attempts. I got a friend to jump start me. I immedietley drove about 8 miles to my local garage where they teasted the batter for me. I was suprisingly informed that the battery was fully charged and A OK.

Anyone with any suggestions, these would be appreciated greatly.

Either the battery is duff but showed OK on a test after a short charge or you have a bad connection somewhere, battery terminals, earth connections to chassis, connection to starter motor etc.

+1 to Datatek....

All models of Range Rovers hate weak batteries, I would change it for a new one before the low volts causes issues with the various ECU's the car relies on....

Cold weather finds out weak batteries like nothing else. You can lose 100 cranking amps around freezing and more as it gets colder. Get a shunt put across it to check for a duff cell. That is most likely the problem.

Make sure central heating is not programmed to come on.( preheat system)
That flattens the battery.

+2 to all the above, also refer to my reply to your post on remote heating fob. If you've got pre-heating set on satnav, it'll warm the interior...and kill the battery
