Bought a refurb kit from eBay (batts n buttons) but still no change.
The fob lights up and everything just won't sync so I assume rf is dead. Is there a way to check rf to see if it's had it?

Have you checked to see if it's actually connected? Otherwise you need diagnostics or an oscilloscope to check if it's working

I'll check this weekend when I remove the blue wire. My central locking stopped working now too. So need to do a forum search for that too.
hi ive got a 2004 vogue 3.0 d and same carry on if i leave it more than one day the battery is as dead as a dodo no obvious switches or kit left on doing ma heed in any ideas most welcome ,,, fancy a beer i need to de,stressJust a thought, it takes around a day to drain battery. If I use every day then I have no probs but if I leave it a day, sometimes 2 then it flat.
The last time it did this (today) the mrs said that the indicators were on. Not flashing, just on. I assume this means alarm was triggered. Also the alarm is silent. No noise at all. Could this explain owt? I've been reading through posts and I read someone saying if u don't like to play then this isn't the car for u. Think he may have been right and it's time to get rid. But don't want to.

check my posts re c/l problems,sounds familiar.blue wire on r/f is the aeriel wire,if you discorrect you have to stand close to o/s rear window to use fob.

bond53,check fuse 9 under drivers seat,beer sounds a better idea.

battery dead yesterday accessed car via key as fob inactive , jumped it and now front electrics wont work ,mirrors, windows .central locking 2004 range rover vogu
They don't like being jumped, did you use the correct connection points? You could try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to re-set the ECU's otherwise you may have damaged something

We've just had the same problem. We removed the blue wire which improved things slightly but we've now replaced the rf receiver with the new model one. We now have to replace the battery again and fingers crossed!
