Does anyone know whether the becm will stay awake if the ignition doesn't lock ? There wasn't an ignition key in message it just didn't clonk
Now sorted but just wondered

The clonk is just the steering lock I think, as long as you didn't get the "Key in ignition" message it should not keep the BECM awake.

Seconded,they will even sleep with the bonnet open,which makes life easier when doing sleep tests.
