Hello all
I've owned my Td4 auto for nearly four years now with only one battery change in September 2012.
All was well until a month ago, when the battery was flat in the morning. A charge and all was well (only use the car at weekends). So back to Halfords to get battery checked - helpfully they exchanged it under warranty and happy days or so I thought...
Further checks revealed a drain of 0.3a - 0.5a so something was clearly a miss. Pulling fuses revealed the standard stereo CD auto changer (which I never removed and left connected when I upgraded the head unit - 3 years ago, was causing the drain). Now having disconnected the multi plug all is well.
S brief life lesson learned - disconnect / pull fuses from redundant circuits to avoid any potential faults arising.
