well when i go to disonnect my battery i get a sprak which obv means something is connected what could it possibly be? all lights and dash board stuff is switched off although i do have a swith immobiliser hidden under dash could it be that?

and also i hate batterys !! it actually really hurt should i wear rubber gloves

sorry to sound stupid but i had am massive shock last year and had to go to hospial so i am a bit wary!"""!!!!

Not necessarily it could be a coil collapsing or a capacitor discharging.
The only way to be sure is measure the current, then start disconnecting stuff.
I would strart with the alternator if you have
one as the excitor coil could be energized.
(Be careful as you can blow you meter up very easley with a car bat)

now earth being the red one on my car(-) stays on all the time as it is in storage so has to be disconnected so should that come off first?? and then the black one that gives me a sprak and shock well its fairly big its like you touch it against the body or something??

well it starts so i pressume they are on the right way red to (-) and black to (+) as mines opposite for some reason!
