Hi Guys,

Well judging by the title im sure you can tell im having a nightmare, Ive been away for a while and the range has sat on the drive, I went to open her up the other night and got nothing, saw the alarm light was off so knew the batt was dead, I tried to open it from the key on the drivers door, and it doesn't seem to turn right to open, only left ???

Done a couple of searches on here and Google and found some info on getting power to the car, I tried a few of these, at first I got power and the alarm led started to flash, tried to open the car with the fob and nothing still, I could see through the glass that the dash is saying keycode lockout, tried searching this and found I need the EKA code??, which I dont think I have, so back to square one.

Ive heard there is a way of getting into the car, but rightly so this shouldn't be broadcast across the net, but I would be very grateful if someone could help me out here and guide me in the right direction of opening the thing up, at the moment its blocking the garage so I cant even use my other car, nightmare.

I appreciate any help offered, thanks

Not sure why the key wont work in door lock..? did it work before? should still unlock even if batt flat...

Your key should open the door even if the battery's
flat. I don't know how to get in if the key doesn't work.
If you haven't got the eka code you can get it from a main
dealer. They got me mine with no cost.

If you pm me your email address if send you a resume
guide but you will need your eka code. If your can
get some power into the battery that may help.

Sounds like the door latch has burnt out, dose turning the key to unlock offer resistance or dose it turn fully horizontal easily? powering up via the starter solenoid terminal and a known good earth should put charge into the battery but if the drivers latch is burnt out you wont get in even with a charged battery, are you in the AA or RAC? :)

Hi Tony,

I got power to the batt through the side repeaters, I had the alarm LED flashing the first time now I can only get the side repeater to light up, ill drop you a pm, thanks

Hi Mate,

Yep the key turns fully to lock but not to unlock ??, I havent tried the AA yet !!!, Thanks

It sounds like the lock has a problem with the connector bars.

The reason it wouldn't open if it was super locked & the battery died, then the key wouldn't open the lock.

Else, by using the key, the lock should open, even if the lock motor has burn't out. You need to establish if the lock was in superlock when the battery drained.

You got power to the battery via the side repeater? How stupid is that? The is no direct connection from the side repeater to the battery, it goes via the BECM. If you haven't smoked the BECM I'll be amazed:eek:

Please dont tell me Ive done the BECM,, i got that info from another landy site, I take it this is not the way to do it, im going to try and jack the car up this weekend, Im pretty good with a spanner, not so much with the electrics, where abouts is the starter motor under the car?, if I can find that ill try again from there
The first time i tried the power through the side repeater it gave me power to the dash, thats how I could see it said" keycode lockout", then when I tried it again the dash or alarm LED didnt light up, could I have just blown a fuse ???, or have I f'ed it all up ??
