Battery change?

I've just changed the battery on my TD4 but have had no problem with having to reset the radio code - is this sometimes the case?

The only 'strange' thing was the rear window going down when I connected the new one, but all-in-all no problems so far.

One small thing. The battery clamp has been broken since I bought the car - does anyone know if there is a nut underneath the clamp that needs to be held in order to release the top bolt?

removed radio from mine to determine radio plug type when refitted worked straight away have now fitted DVD player

there is a setting on the radio to turn the code protection on or off. as for the rear window dropping on re connection, this is completely normal.

there is no nut that you can undo under the clamp, it is held captive in the battery tray. It is very common for this to break loose and spin freely though.

Bugger! Thanks - I guess I'll have to use brute strength and ignorance to get it off...

if its spinning like mine was i had to chop the top of the bolt off with a dremel, then remove the battery tray to cut it out from under it, I made my own bolt to replace it.

Battery change?
