Would it be possible to run a 65 amp alternator and charge a leisure battery plus a battery of this spec -

Specifications
Voltage - 12V
Capacity - 100Ah
CCA(EN) - 830A

or is it going the shag the alternator out?

Won't hurt the alternator but if you've got 2 different batteries and you try and charge them in parallel, you can end up with one battery dragging the other down. Better split the charge with a blocking diode or spit relay. Whats the thinking behind 2 batteries anyway?

Keep one isolated when your somwhere dodgey or aquard, then let it charge when your on the road or whatever. That way if your alternator or battery goes youve got enough power to start it up again and run for abit.

I know how much it suckes for an alternator to fail in a bad place. Picture attached.

If you fit an ameter or even easier a volt meter, at least youll have some warning of your impending buggeredness, and you can make a brake for a garage or summin.
