Apart from the basic repairs that ae needed currently to my motor, I'm looking to upgrade a few things that will improve things when trailing it.

Thought I'd run them by, and see if anyone can advise me on product choices or better ways of doing things.

Currently as my motor stands:

  • series III, 200tdi
  • Defender body work, truck cab
  • disco axles
  • standard shocks and coils
  • boggo disc's all round
  • steel snorkel, diy job out of some spare steel piping.
  • full external roll cage.
  • all extras fitted to comply with Trailing regs (cut-out isolator, fire extiguisher, 4 point harness, etc)

First thing I'm thinking of doing is replacing all the bushes with these: SDLR03PWA | Floflex Polyurethane Bush kit (front and rear including s/abs bushes)

Whilst I was at it, give the trailing arms, radius arms, panhards, & A-frame a bit of a scrub & a lick of chassis paint.

Next, thinking of getting some dislocation cones, for those bits where I may need to strech. (Rear:PM640 | Rear Disclocation Cones (pair). To fit Disco 1, Range Rover Classic and Defender 90 & Front:PM707 | Front Disclocation Cones (pair). To fit Disco 1, Range Rover Classic and Defender 90)

Under armor:

Was also thinking of some fiddle brakes, to get me out of those cross axle situations, but I think thats going a bit too far at the moment.

Plus I think that may out me in a class on my own, which is no fun really, takes the competion out of it.

Anyway, any feedback you can give me, better choices?

Cheers
