Totally agree. I told the customer care the number of people I will tell never to buy a Ford. They seemed VERY unbothered. Shame for all the guys working hard in the factories that the bloody monkeys in offices cannot make the right decisions.

I did try and pursue them for the details of the turbo manufacturer and see if 79k was acceptable...they refused to give me details.

i served my time at ford and they were the biggest load of ****e even then, they would try to get out of every and any warranty claim that came through.bunch of sheisters.imho.try again to see if you can get any recompense from them.dont be put off just keep trying.

I've made 4 calls to different customer sevices people and e-mailed via the Ford website. They called me back and said "computer says no."

My Dad was a Ford Sparks for nearly 40 yrs. I'm gutted as i've always held such loyalty for Fords and now out feel thoroughly let down.

that is no good doing things that way,you have to write in and send it to the head honcho,go straight to the top and ask for a personal reply within 28 days.be polite at all times, tell them your ford history and your dads work record.it all helps to show what a ford man you are and it would be a shame to lose you.

Get yourself down to ford hq, brentwood essex I think and have a scream up!!!
I had grief years ago with a main dealer not wanting to fix my car, what I did?
I made up placards saying 'don't buy from this dealer, they will shaft you etc etc', stood outside the dealers every saturday for a month from 9am-5pm, on the 4th sat manager came out to me and sorted everything!

well done, thats what i would do if my car went tits up after only a short time/miles.

I used to live quite close to HQ in Warley.

The thing is, I totally accept that 4.5 yr old IS WELL out of warranty but for me 79k miles isn't enough for such an expensive failiure!

Muhahaha @ landrover11019 - nice one thats the way to do it! hit em where it hurts. I bet that manager watched his sales drain away cos some lunatic outside his showroom with placards LOL muhahahaha!

The head gasket had gone.
Head off, no other damage, turbo and intercooler full of oil.
Three injectors came out with a struggle the fourth one is stuck fast!
Took it to an engineering works, they couldn't shift it.
Therefore I can't have the head skimmed
New head required about £300. Ouch!!!

Well it up and running again.

New head and gasket - turbo is fine.

Thanks for your help and advice.
