I am replacing the steering knuckle ball joints on my S2D and have a suitable ball joint removal kit (Chinese) from E bay. However I need to remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle to remove it and gain access to the ball joints to remove them from the casing first.

The usual two hammer technique has failed.

Rave refers to LRT-54-027 tool at the usual LR price!

The question is has anyone used this E Bay kit on a S2D front suspension and is it any good or just a waste of money: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6pc-Fron...tm=132708519501&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m185

Thanks Steve

You dont need two hammers, just one will do and lay into the steering arm itself right on the very end.
Ive been doing ball joints on cars and trucks like this for years, but have recently gotten soft after wrecking one of my knuckles and use one of the wind intype fpr the trucks.

Ref that kit, have to say for 33 quid you cant really go wrong.

A lot of kit for 33 quid should do the job.
I have snap on truck ones that I have been swinging off with a 3 foot bar I wouldn't like to try it with a chinky one lol
