Until something else breaks! -

Hi, I thought I'd join and see what everyone's up to. I've only ever owned one Land Rover - an original V8 Ninety County station wagon in Ivory white which I bought back in 1991. Although it was only four years old at the time, the small patches of corrosion on the bulkhead corners should have told me something....

Fast forward 21 years and it has a galvanised chassis fitted by Nene overland, properly carpeted interior, replacement v8 with four barrel Weber carb and full janspeed exhaust, 110 front calipers with vented and grooved front discs (still drums at the back), no power steering. And red paint.

It's not all good though! it's been off the road for a year whilst I did various major repairs in my minimal spare time.
Having finally passed its MOT the petrol tank sprung a leak a couple of weeks ago . Couldn't persuade the new tank in so decided to remove the sill support channel to make space. OMG moment when the door pillar crumbled into dust. Also massive hole around chassis mounting point - I've repaired with aluminium and stainless patches and fitted new seat box end too.

Hoping to get to Billing this weekend, but its going to be tight!

Thanks, I've tried to upload some more pictures but get an error message each time (dunno why, the jpegs are well within limits!). I'll post them in a separate thread when I get a moment..
