Just bought my second Discovery 2 after a 5 year gap. 4 weeks in and the smile is still on my face:)

First Disco was a petrol auto v8 owned while living in the US. Paid $6k used from a dealer, spent $20k on in over 3 years, including a new engine, but had has of fun driving up mountains in bad weather and passing all of the US 4x4's as they struggled with the ice!

Just found a 52 plate, 2 series, TD5 - pace of life is slower here and price of petrol rules out the V8 - and planning my first trip to France in August.

Happy days!

well done, lets hope it is a good one.from another D2 owner with the same initials as yourself.:D:D.JB.

Many thanks all. Been driving the tractor for three weeks, variety of trips, low miles and few, if any issues. Could it be that there is nothing serious lurking within? It's in a main dealer for a "complimentary assessment", probably it's first and last visit to such an establishment. Verdict later, I will let you know. Fingers crossed. Changing fluids is good shout Datatek, thanks. (It's a manual by the way). JB
