Greetings! Just joined the world of Freelander's and must say quite nice but bit slow Anyway, got a problem. Rear window does not work but goes 'beep beep beep' when you hit the switch and rear wiper and heated screen does also not want to play. So played around with the fuses and then a mechanic played around with the fuses and the conclusion was the inhibitor switch is buggered. He said common fault? He tried to get a part but was told its a main dealer part only. Anyone had the same problems? Its a 3 door 1.8 2001

Its a Freelander and not a proper Landy Proper Landys dont have electronic ****e

You therefore need to ask such questions in the Freelanderer section. No one in here will admit to knowing anything about them, except perhaps the doors falling off, or perhaps where the best place to light a match is

you need to check the electrical connectors behind the passenger seat, sometimes gets overloaded with excessive use of the curling tong's or hairdryer
