Went to guy salmon today to look at replacing the old beast. She's done 100K in 3 years is abit dented needs a cambelt swap, and the dual mass flywheel is about to blow so we traded her in for a newer model :)

The steps are getting removed as they will just get covered in cow ****, it's getting a special coating inside and out to protect from dirt and water and it's even got a fridge in the cubby box :D

Love it

very nice ayresy.if yer dad can afford that then you are over charging for your work.lol.;):D:D

Haha cheers mate ill try to stop him denting this one ;)

We're doing well 6 new tractors in te past 6 weeks and we work hard so it's nice to have a nice motor, we thought about an Isuzu rodeo but we just wouldn't be comfortable towing to Scotland as we often do with it, plus can't have anything other than a landy ;)

Serviced a Mercedes ML today, some very clever engineering has gone into the engine, the turbo is on top at the back which makes the pipes even on the v6 and air pipes are simple. And to save space the air filters are sitting on the sides of each bank

Only problem is the air boxes are too close to the sides so you can't get the covers off and accessing the screws is very, very difficult, so you have to take the air boxes off, butto do this you've also gotta remove the power steering resovoir off, and getting it back on is even worse to get the securing bolts back in, and the fuel filter is under the Y pipe for the air intake so you have to take that off too

All very compact and clever but not if you have to work on the bloody things :(

Give me a 200tdi any day

I know where you are coming from with working on the ML and big engines in small spaces. We have just done a head gasket on a new 405 RR, Land Rover give you 14 hrs to do one gasket on a TDV8 and it takes longer. like you say give me a 200 tdi or even a TD5
